Covid-19 Precautions

Updated 4/18/21

To our valued Makeup New England clients:

New Hampshire's Governor has lifted the statewide mandatory mask mandate effective 4/16/21.

As beauty professionals, we are not only mandated to follow state and federal issued guidelines , but also those handed down by the Board of Cosmetology.

Most if not all of the team members of Makeup New England will soon be fully vaccinated for your and our safety, we appreciate your patience as we still ask that you wear a mask while in our presence until further notice.

In addition to the things we have always done to keep our products, tools and areas sanitary, below are a few of the additional and necessary precautions that have been implemented;

  • A total of four people, defined as, two beauty professionals and two clients  will occupy a room at any one time. Additional rooms will be needed if your event requires more than two beauty professionals. Other guests will be asked to wait in another room.  (This is dependent on room size)

  • A minimum six-foot distance will be maintained between professional stations when sharing a room. If this is not possible, only two people/one station will be allowed, additional rooms will be needed to accommodate more stations.

  • Masks must be worn by all parties at all times. The only exception to this is when makeup is being applied to the area under the mask.

  • We will be unable to work with a client showing any signs of illness (as described below) within 48 hours of your date

    • Fever higher than 98.6

    • Respiratory symptoms such as; runny nose, nasal congestion, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath

    • General body symptoms such as muscle aches, chills, and severe fatigue

    • Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

    • A change in sense of smell OR taste.

  • If you or someone scheduled to receive services suffers from allergies, please make arrangements to take any needed medicine prior to arriving, as we will not be able to determine who is suffering from allergies from someone who may be ill.

  • If anyone scheduled to receive services has been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive or is a presumptive positive Covid-19 case, we ask that they share that information with us, knowing that service for that person will not be provided.

Sitting together, sharing laughs, and watching each other during the “getting ready” process with friends and family has always contributed to the magic of one’s day.   Please be assured that even though the process needs to be a little different, we at Makeup New England will continue to bring the professionalism, talent, and fun that made you want to book with us in the first place!

We look forward to seeing and working with you soon!

The Makeup New England team!
